Frequently Asked

The FAQ. We tried to make it worth reading.

Most things marketed to spicy food lovers focus on one part of the problem. Something for your mouth, or something for your stomach, or something vague that promises everything and does nothing. Sooz works across the whole experience. The burn in your mouth has somewhere to go. Your stomach doesn't spiral. And the part nobody really talks about, the next morning, that gets taken care of too. You eat what you want. Sooz handles the rest.
Capsaicin is the thing in peppers that makes spice feel like spice. Sooz works with that. There's a milk protein in here that latches onto capsaicin in your mouth and helps clear it out before it can settle in. Further down, a gentle fiber coats your gut and cushions the ride so your stomach doesn't have to deal with the full force of everything you just ate. And a couple of calming ingredients keep your stomach's acidity from getting out of hand while all of this is happening.
For best results, mix Sooz with water and drink it during your meal. Take sips between bites. And if you really want to get the most out of it, try chewing your spicy food while you still have some sooz in your mouth.
Not entirely. Sooz contains sodium caseinate, which is derived from milk protein (casein). While it's lactose-free and much easier on the stomach than dairy, it is not suitable for people with a milk protein allergy. If you're vegan or have a casein allergy, Sooz is not for you — yet.
The current flavor is a light strawberry — slightly sweet and fresh. It's intentionally not overpowering, so it doesn't clash with whatever you're eating.
Well, it depends on what you mean by really spicy. Your favorite hot sauce, the spicy ramen that always gets you, the curry you keep going back to even though you know better: yes, sooz handles that well. But the ghost pepper challenge at a restaurant that makes you sign something first? That's between you and whatever decisions led you there. We’ll try our best, but there are limits.
About 8–12 oz of water per sachet works well. Stir or shake it up to dissolve the powder. A tighter water ratio gives you a stronger effect; more water makes it lighter and easier to sip over a longer meal.

Sooz is a food product, not a supplement or medication. That said, if you're taking prescription drugs — especially anything affected by fiber intake or antacids — check with your doctor first. Better safe than sorry.
